These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Northlight Studio website and the web design services we provide. By using our website or hiring us for a project, you agree to these Terms.

Our services

Northlight Studio designs, builds, and maintains websites for local and small businesses. The specifics of any project — scope, timeline, and price — are agreed in writing before work begins.

Deposit and design preview

A $99 deposit reserves your spot and lets us create a live design preview of your website before you commit to the full build. The deposit is credited toward your project total. It stays fully refundable up until you approve the design; once you approve and we begin the full build, the deposit becomes non-refundable. A design preview is a concept only — it does not transfer ownership and may be removed if you choose not to proceed.

Pricing and payment

Prices listed on our website are starting estimates and may vary based on the size and complexity of your project. Final pricing is confirmed in writing. Payments, including the $99 deposit, are processed securely by our third-party payment processor (Stripe); we do not store your full card details. Payment terms for one-time builds and monthly plans are agreed before the project starts. Monthly plans continue until cancelled.

Ownership

For one-time website builds paid in full, ownership of the final website files transfers to you once payment is complete. For monthly care or service plans, the website is provided as part of the ongoing service; you may take full ownership at any time as described in your agreement.

Client responsibilities

You agree to provide accurate information and any content (text, images, logos) needed to build your site, and confirm you have the right to use that content. You are responsible for the accuracy of information displayed on your website.

Revisions and support

The number of revisions and the support period included are specified in your project agreement. Additional work beyond the agreed scope may be quoted separately.

Third-party services

Websites we build may rely on third-party services (such as hosting, domains, or form delivery). These services have their own terms, and we are not responsible for outages or changes outside our control.

Intellectual property

All content on this Northlight Studio website — including text, graphics, and our logo — belongs to Northlight Studio unless otherwise noted. Please don't copy or reuse it without permission.

Limitation of liability

We work hard to deliver quality results, but our services are provided "as is." To the fullest extent permitted by law, Northlight Studio is not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from the use of our website or services. Our total liability for any claim will not exceed the amount you paid us for the project in question.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Arkansas, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules.
